CTA is a non-profit provider of public transportation for the three coastal counties of Mississippi. It is an independently managed public utility that is governed by a Board of Commissioners. It is the designated recipient of State and Federal funding for urban transportation on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
In 2007, we opened the new Biloxi Transit Center. We completed the Transit Development Plan, which will guide growth of the system to the year 2030, a copy of which is on the CTA website. In addition to the new Casino Hopper and Coast Commuter services, CTA fully restored all other types of services. CTA currently offers fixed route, ADA.

Before flying to New Orleans Ihad downloaded an iPhone app called “Route Shout”.This is a great app that provides live arrival and departure times for all of the gulf coasttransportation.I only used theBeachcomber and the Casino Hopper but they offer 6 other options.

Harrah’sCasino is one of the stops on the Casino Hopper Route.The trolley picks up on OakStreet, the west side of the property.

First order of business after arriving into Biloxiwas dinner.I decided to try out “Slap Ya MommaBBQ” on Beach Blvd.

To get to Beach Blvdwould require a transfer.First I boardedthe Casino Hopper at the Harrah’s stop. I pickedup the 4:55pm trolley and got off at the Transit Center, arriving there at5:21pm.

I then transferred to the Yellow Westbound Beachcomber trolley that departed at 5:30pm.There isn't a scheduled stop at Slap Ya Momma's BBQ soI simply asked the driver if he would mind just dropping me in frontof the restaurant, which he did.On theBeachcomber map below the restaurant is right next door to Big Play Entertainment Center justbefore the Treasure Bay Casino.

“Slap Ya Momma BBQ”was not disappointing and provedto be an excellent choice.When I firstwalked in my eyes were immediately drawn to the walls.They were covered with doors of various colors which I found quite artistic and unique.

On the recommendation of the waitress, I opted for thebrisket sandwich with fries and a 24 oz draft beer which was served in a quart jar.

I neglected to take a photo of the sandwich but here's the type of food they serve. Yum, yum, yum!
